Ministry Happens Now - Another Request for Prayer

It seems to be true that the more people you have praying for something, the more exciting it is. It isn't at all because the prayers of one aren't powerful by themselves, but I love the way God created the church...to band together and to run the race like a marathon. In our case, we're banding together to "train artists to create for a Higher Purpose," and we're very excited about what's happening.

We continue to anticipate the premiere of He Leadeth Me (Father's Day, in case you forgot), but we are also urgently praying for our next project. An exciting aspect of this pursuit is that young people are starting to come alongside us in a very real and powerful way. For this film, it will be vital.

Last night, I had the pleasure of meeting with two of our Team Leadership members, Joe and Rachel. Joe is a freshman at NDSU, and Rachel is currently a junior at Fergus Falls Kennedy. Though they didn't quite know what to expect walking into my house, they walked away with the opportunity to become a champion for our second film project...and they're running with it! I had the opportunity to search their hearts, their minds, and their experiences for insight into what it's like to be a Christian dating couple in 2012, and I challenged them with many questions about difficult scenarios. It was an absolute joy to be able to hear from their hearts their views on dating, marriage, and their own personal relationships with Jesus. In fact, they offered to take this idea one step further. They offered to continue and expand this sort of conversation by offering a time of discussion for their fellow Redeemer's Song Team Leadership members! From there, they said that they would consider leading a wider group discussion with individuals they don't even know.

Rachel and Joe are champions. Please pray for them, as they help to further enhance the message of our next film by bringing practical application to the lives of those fellow young people around them. Ministry doesn't happen when the product is over. Ministry happens now.

Please pray for Joe and Rachel, that the Lord would shower them with wisdom, courage, and tenacity to be a champion not only for Redeemer's Song, but for their peers.
